Shapes

DrawIt distincts between normal shapes and custom shapes. Custom Shapes have been added to DrawIt to represent shapes which are difficult to draw using only points. A good example is a star or a circle: a perfect circle is (almost) impossible to create using only points and curves.

Custom Shapes

This means that Custom Shapes are not Vectors and thus cannot be edited you would expect with a Vector. Instead of editing the individual points, they usually have some special options. An example of this is Star, when you select a Star, the Format Bar changes to show the options associated with a star: the number of points and the radius can easily be changed.

Choose Insert → Shape to insert a shape. some of these are custom shapes. Another way to insert shapes is to right click in the document and choose Insert → Shape there.

Note that these layers have special options: these options will in the top left.
