Various additional options are available in the Other tab of the Options dialog.
- Enable "Smart Dragging" (highly recommended)
Improves the dragging operations during game play by scanning the game window for a valid position for the card (or a pile of cards) being dragged, and then automatically moving the
card(s) if dragging is terminated before hovering over a specific pile. See the
smart-dragging topic for more detailed information.
You may optionally check this box to enable smart-dragging to activate
with only a single click. This is useful for laptop users where dragging
is not as easily accomplished as it is during desktop use, although some
players may prefer it on at all times. This option is only
available if smart-dragging is activated.
Please note that
double-clicking actions are not available with "One-Click Moves" enabled.
You may use alternate shortcuts for actions
that would normally be accomplished by a double-click.
- Command Key Required for Shortcuts
If the box is checked, the key is required to be pressed to generate a
shortcut to prevent accidental actions when the keyboard is pressed. If the box is unchecked, the
key can be omitted from the shortcut keystroke (the
key sequence still works as
well).
- Perform Animation on Deals
If the box is checked, a modest animation will occur during deals. If the box is unchecked, the deals will be
immediate.
If you are not a fan of Help Viewer (and you are not alone), check this box
to open this help in your default web browser when a "Help" or "Rules" button is
selected in the game. Safari or Firefox are recommended.
When checked, all confirmations for new games, restart games, or exits are
suppressed.
Games in progress that are not won will still be counted as a loss in your
statistics when closed.
- Skip Bouncing Card Animation
If the box is checked, the bouncing card animation shown after a win is
not displayed.
Please note that you may always interrupt the animation to start a new
game at any time.
If the box is checked, the "Vegas Scoring" option is active. With Vegas scoring, one dollar is subtracted for each card for a new deal. Each card played to a foundation results in $5 being added to the score. Vegas scoring
works for all games and is cumulative until the Statistics are cleared for a given game. The Vegas scoring includes all
variations of a game (such as both 1- and 3-draw variations of Klondike) in the cumulative score.
