Cards are the most fundamental concept in Study. You use cards to learn facts and information – be it vocabulary, historical dates, capitals or any other topic.
You will normally want to create one card per fact. When learning a foreign language, this might be one word. When learning the US state capitals you’d have one card per state.
Cards in Study are just like paper cards: They a front on which you put the fact question and a back on which you put the fact answer. When learning the US state capitals, you’ll put the name of the state on the front and the name of its capital on the back.
Turning Cards
To show a card’s back, click the Turn Card icon in the lower right of a card (the arrow symbol).
To permanently swap the sides of a card, choose Card > Swap Sides from the menu bar.
Editing Cards
To change the text on one side of a card, double-click it. When you’re done, hit Return or Enter to end editing.
Moving Cards Between Stacks
To move a card to another stack:
- Select the stack containing the card you want to move in the source list.
- Select the card you want to move.
- From the menu bar, choose Card > Move to Stack and pick the stack you want to move the card to.
You can also move cards by dragging them and dropping them on the stack you want to move them to.
